Throughout the year we consult with residents, business owners, visitors and stakeholders on a range of topics. These consultations can be found below when live, followed by results and findings from selected consultations.

Solid fuel burning

As part of our commitment to monitoring and reviewing air quality across Blaby District we are working to understand if and how solid fuel is used in our communities.

We are running a six-week survey to help us understand burning patterns and awareness of the safest ways to burn wood and other solid fuels.
Solid fuel types include:

• Wood
• Coal
• Peat
• Fuel logs
• Smokeless fuel and logs
• Briquettes

The survey is open until 12 noon on Friday 2 January 2026. The anonymous results of the survey will help tailor our approach to communicating and educating people about solid fuel burning.
