Flood support
Our dedicated staff, in collaboration with partner organisations, have been tirelessly working across the District to support residents affected by the recent flooding.
So far, we’ve supported more than 100 homes and established rest centres at Whetstone and Braunstone.
These centres will re-open today (Tuesday 7 January) from 11am until 3pm to offer a warm space and support to residents.
Today we will are also out door knocking, checking on vulnerable residents in the flood-affected areas to ensure their safety and provide any necessary support.
If your property has been affected by the flooding and you need assistance, please contact Customer Services on 0116 275 0555.
Additionally, weather permitting, we will be street sweeping, prioritising those areas affected. Please note that sweeping is challenging during freezing weather, but we will do our best to get out where we can.
If your property has been impacted by flooding, please ensure you log the incident with the lead flood authority, Leicestershire County Council. Their website also contains useful information on what to do in the event of a flood.
