Local Plan Core Strategy
The Local Plan (Core Strategy) sets out the vision, objectives, strategy and core policies for the spatial planning of the District up to 2029.
Our Core Strategy states how we propose to accommodate the need for new homes, jobs and infrastructure that is required in the District. It proposes a sustainable approach which balances development requirements whilst protecting important areas of the natural and built environment.
The Local Plan (Core Strategy) was adopted by Blaby District Council in February 2013. It is the first part of the Local Plan and sits alongside the Local Plan Delivery DPD adopted on 4 February 2019. You can find all documents associated with the Adopted Local Plan Core Strategy below.
