Housing Needs for Older People

The Older Persons Housing Needs and Aspirations Study was undertaken by Salford University on behalf of local authorities within the Leicester and Leicestershire Housing Market Area.

The study guides on:

• Meeting the housing and support needs of older people in the future
• Focusing on the role of supported housing, including sheltered housing, retirement villages
• The type of support required to enable older people to 'stay-put' in their own homes

The research involved consultation with older people from a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
