Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2025 - 2030 Consultation
We have a legal duty to review our performance in tackling homelessness and produce a new Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy to set our priorities for tackling homelessness every five years. Our current strategy runs until 2025.
Below is a draft PDF copy of our new strategy and a link to a survey. We would invite anyone who wishes to read our new strategy and complete a short survey with any comments or suggestions on how we could improve our service.
Our new strategy proposes four key priorities
- Prevent homelessness and reduce the use of temporary accommodation
- Increase the supply of affordable housing
- Develop partnership work and wider communications to ensure efficient service user led provision
- Supporting vulnerable households to be independent and self-reliant
The consultation runs until Tuesday 7 February 2025.
Once the consultation is complete we will review the responses and produce a final version of the strategy to be reviewed by Council members prior to adoption.
