Licensing Policy

This Licensing Policy explains how we will carry out the role. This policy will be kept under review and, where necessary, revisions will be made following consultation with the bodies outlined below.

The policy also:

  • Informs how applications will be reviewed and how a licensed premise is likely to be able to operate within the district
  • Informs residents and businesses how applications will be viewed and how their needs will be addressed and supported
  • Will be used as a guide by members in their decision-making
  • Will be used to supporting decisions made when those decisions are challenged in a court of law
