Conservation Areas
There are currently 12 conservation areas in the district. Conservation areas ensure planning permission is needed for changes to buildings which would normally be permitted. Changes requiring consent include, but not limited to:
- Cladding a building
- Inserting dormer windows
- Putting up a satellite dish visible from the street
- Works to trees
For further details on when planning permission is required check the Planning Portal:
