- Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- Listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this website is
Some older downloadable PDF/Word documents aren’t fully accessible to screen reader software and live video streams do not have captions. Any other issues are listed in the Non-accessible content sections.

Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). If you’re not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
Contacting us by phone or visiting us in person
The Minicom service is a telephone typewriter device for communication for people who are deaf, hearing impaired, or have a speech impediment. A Minicom is like a telephone with a small keyboard and screen. Instead of speaking, you type in what you want to say. Then, by inputting a Minicom number, your message is relayed down the telephone line and appears on the screen of the member of staff you are calling (it is held in reception).
Please contact us before your visit and we can arrange for you to use our audio induction loops, arrange a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter or someone to translate a language other than English.
We offer braille copies of documents, bills, web pages, and other resources upon request. We will also discuss with the customer when arranging to find the best solution.
Please contact us using our Contact the Council page.
