Councils submit plans for the future of local government

Eight Leicestershire and Rutland councils have worked together to submit a vision to government for future council structures.

The North, City, South plan would see three unitary councils delivering services from April 2028.

Postal vote reapplications

If you vote by post, new rules mean you will need to reapply every three years. All postal voters who applied before 31 October 2023 are now required to reapply for their postal vote by 31 January 2026. 

Community Grants

Side Waste

We do not collect additional waste left near your bins, including cardboard. 

Items that can't fit inside the correct bin with the lid fully closed should be taken to your local household waste and recycling site.
