The Council has a wide range of fantastic green spaces, these provide the opportunity for an enjoyable walk, a family day out and to keep in touch with nature.

Admission to these sites is free and everyone is welcome, enjoy your visit but please remember:

  • respect the wildlife that lives there
  • keep your dog under close control
  • take only photographs
  • leave only footprints

The Council also runs a Volunteer Ranger scheme where you can get involved in a range of exciting activities on our sites, please contact the Green Space Engagement Officer for more details.

Green Space Strategy 2012

Blaby District Council has risen to the challenge of preparing a strategy for it's green spaces to make the greatest use of the resources and meet the needs of local residents. The strategy will inform planning policy and enable the council to protect and enhance green spaces.
